Our goal through the online Islamic Foundation course is to establish comprehensive Islamic foundations across six integrated disciplines, including:

  2. Descriptive Study of Hadith
  3. Methodologies of Prophets (AS)
  4. Analytical Approach to the Study of Seerah
  5. Islamic Caliphate System
  6. Arabic Language Basics
  7. Current Muslim World Challenges

This structured curriculum develops analytical capabilities for independent engagement with primary Islamic concepts, building systematic understanding of divine guidance principles, historical reform methodologies, and ethical frameworks that shaped Islamic civilization.

Subject I - Analytical Tafseer of Quran
Tafseer

A. Basic Terminologies of Tafseer

  • Understand the difference between Tafseer and Ta'weel in Quranic interpretation.
  • Explain terms like Asbab al-Nuzul, Nasikh–Mansukh, Aam–Khaas, Muhkam–Mutashabih, and Ijaz al-Qur’an.
  • Recognize major schools and methodologies of Tafseer, including Riwayah and Dirayah.
  • Identify primary and secondary sources used in authentic Tafseer literature.

B. Surah Yasin

  • Describe the central theme and structural composition of Surah Yasin.
  • Analyze major topics: Prophethood, Resurrection, Divine Signs, and denial consequences.
  • Extract moral and spiritual lessons relevant to belief and daily conduct.
  • Evaluate how the Surah establishes the Qur'an's miraculous nature (I'jaz).

C. Surah Al-Hujurat

  • Examine the Quranic code of ethics governing Muslim social relations.
  • Interpret verses on manners, brotherhood, backbiting, and suspicion management.
  • Understand Quranic guidance on leadership, reconciliation, and respect for authority.
  • Apply the moral framework of the Surah to contemporary social behavior.

D. Surah Al-Baqarah (First 10 Rukus)

  • Identify major themes: faith, hypocrisy, divine guidance, covenant, and moral testing.
  • Understand the characteristics of believers, disbelievers, and hypocrites in the Quranic context.
  • Analyze stories of Adam (AS) and Bani Israel as moral and spiritual lessons.
  • Explore how these sections establish a foundational Quranic worldview and Shariah principles.
Subject II - Descriptive Study of Hadith

A. Basic Terminologies and Introduction to Hadith Studies

  • Differentiate between Hadith, Sunnah, Khabar, and Athar in Islamic scholarship.
  • Understand the roles of narrators, chains (Isnad), and text (Matn) in the authentication process.
  • Explain categories of Hadith based on reliability, transmission, and source classification.
  • Recognize key Muhaddithin and their contributions to Hadith preservation.
  • Describe the methodology and purpose behind Riyad al-Saliheen's compilation.

B. Chapters on Faith (Iman)

  • Understand how Hadiths define true faith through actions, sincerity, and reliance.
  • Identify the relationship between belief and righteous deeds in Prophetic teachings.
  • Recognize Prophetic guidance on maintaining steadfastness in Iman through trials.

C. Chapters on Morality and Ethics (Akhlaq)

  • Interpret Hadiths emphasizing humility, honesty, forgiveness, patience, and generosity in conduct.
  • Appreciate the Prophet ﷺ as the ultimate model of moral perfection.
  • Apply moral values from Hadiths to personal and social conduct.

D. Chapters on Obligations and Worship (Ibadat)

  • Analyze Hadiths related to Salah, Zakah, Fasting, and Hajj as expressions.
  • Understand the balance between ritual worship and ethical behavior in Islam.

E. Chapters on Wisdom and Guidance (Hikmah)

  • Recognize primary and secondary sources of Seerah, including the Qur’an, Hadith, and Maghazi.
  • Understand the significance of Seerah as a framework for Islamic leadership and reform.

B. The Makki Period (Foundations of Faith and Character)

  • Identify the main stages of Dawah in Makkah: secret call, public proclamation, persecution.
  • Analyze key themes: Tawheed, moral purification, patience, and spiritual resilience under trial.
  • Examine the Prophet's ﷺ approach to Dawah among Quraysh, youth, and oppressed communities.
  • Understand how Quranic revelation in this period shaped individual belief and identity.
  • Derive lessons on faith-building, perseverance, and moral strength under adversity.

C. The Madani Period (Establishment of the Islamic Community)

  • Explain the Prophet's ﷺ strategic migration (Hijrah) and its transformation of Muslim society.

  • Study Ibrahim's (AS) mission of intellectual Dawah, sacrifice, and leadership in establishing monotheism.
  • Examine Ismail (AS) and Ishaq (AS) in continuation of covenantal faith teaching.
  • Analyze Lut's (AS) struggle for moral purity in the face of societal deviation.
  • Study Yaqub (AS) and Yusuf (AS) as models of family reform, patience, and wisdom.
  • Explore Shoaib's (AS) approach to economic justice and ethical social conduct.

Era 3: Law Enforcement, Revival, and Renewal

Prophets: Musa (AS) to Isa (AS)

  • Understand Harun's (AS) supportive role in guidance and unity preservation.
  • Study Dawud (AS) and Sulayman (AS) as examples of just governance and gratitude.
  • Analyze Zakariyya (AS) and Yahya (AS) in their missions of spiritual purity.
  • Study Isa's (AS) mission of mercy, moral revival, and renewal of divine message.

1. Caliphate of Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (RA)

  • Understand the context of succession and consolidation of the Muslim Ummah after the Prophet ﷺ.
  • Analyze Abu Bakr's (RA) decisive role in defending Islam's integrity through the Riddah wars.
  • Study his leadership in preserving the Quran and maintaining unity among Muslims.
  • Derive lessons on crisis management, firmness in faith, and reliance on Shura.

2. Caliphate of Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA)

Theme: Institutional Development, Justice, and Expansion

  • Examine the administrative, judicial, and military reforms introduced by Umar (RA) systematically.
  • Understand his governance system based on justice, accountability, and people's welfare.
  • Study the expansion of the Islamic state and the establishment of public institutions under its leadership.

3. Caliphate of Uthman ibn Affan (RA)

4. Caliphate of Ali ibn Abi Talib (RA)
