The Qur’an Fehmi & Usool al-Istidlal course at Source Code Academia is a 1-year live online program that teaches students how to understand the Qur’an beyond simple translation. The Learning Journey
The Qur’an Fehmi & Usool al-Istidlal program at Source Code Academia is a carefully structured one-year live course focused on developing a strong foundation in Qur’anic understanding, analytical thinking, and principled interpretation.
This course is designed for students who want to move beyond simple translation and develop the ability to understand the Qur’an through themes, context, language patterns, and interconnected meanings. Students will study how verses relate to one another and how the Qur’an clarifies itself through the principle:
“Al-Qur’an yufassiru ba‘ḍuhu ba‘ḍan”
(The Qur’an explains one part through another.)
The course also introduces students to the foundational principles of deriving meanings and rulings (Usool al-Istidlal), helping them distinguish between direct meanings, derived implications, and incorrect interpretations.
In addition, students will receive an introductory understanding of Usool al-Hadith, including the study of Sanad and Matan, basic Hadith classifications, and the relationship between authentic Hadith and Qur’anic principles.
Through live weekly lectures, guided discussions, practical examples, and interactive learning, students will gradually develop a more structured and reflective approach to understanding the Book of Allah.
